France, transitional-style, c. 1770/75, several hardwoods and softwoods, rosewood and zebrano veneer, cube marquetry with several precious woods, polished finish, the facing side with 5 drawers, the bottom two "sans traverse", central avant-corps, gilt bronze fittings, moulded marble top of a later date, 90 x 129 x 64 cm, in restored condition. The high-contrast marquetry and choice of materials is reminiscent of works by Adrien Delorme.
