late 19th century, oak structure, with serpentine shaping on three sides, rosewood veneer, cross-grained marquetry with several precious woods in the form of leafy tendrils, polished finish, fine-quality gilt bronze decorative mounts, the facing side with two doors, elaborately moulded marble top, 112 x 165 x 60 cm, in beautiful professionally restored condition. Due to the quality of workmanship and execution of its bronze fittings, the present piece of furniture may well be attributed to the circle of Sormani or Durand.
