German, mid 19th century. A variant of a model after David Roentgen, made mostly in oak with mahogany veneer and a matte finish, with 5 drawers at the front and roll top, an opening mechanism by means of a pull-out writing surface, with 2 interior drawers, open compartments, fluted legs, bronze mounts some in the form of rosettes and beading. 108.5 x 122 x 67.5 cm. The mounts of the two back legs replaced, the locks of the side drawers moved. With some ageing and wear. (MIN)
