Art Deco sideboard,
Italy ca.1930/40. A rosewood-veneered and polished softwood sideboard, of a splayed form with tapering square cut legs, with 3 doors at the front, the central door being slightly bombé, also with veneer fillets and marquetry motifs of a lyre as allegory of music, the 2 outer doors with crossbanded veneer and geometric marquetry. The interior, veneered in maple and with mirrors, is fitted out as a drinks cabinet, with glass shelves, 4 maplewood drawers and tinted glass top. 136.5 x 178 x 47 cm. In restored condition. (DOC)
