“I have always been fascinated by painting when this is filled with light.
But, for me, painting is also much more than this: it is the foreground of the infinitely deep and black space, in which light and colour have become inseparable from each other. The identity of light and colour, which becomes visible in the spectrum, is the subject of my painting – it is its only subject.”
