Unusual hall stand in naturalistic style,
Hungary, 2nd half of the 19th century, presumably produced by the Munkacs foundry (today in the Ukraine) owned by the Schönborn family and designed by Andreas Schossel. A cast iron stand in the form of the talon and torso of a bird of prey, with red deer cast antlers as hooks. Height ca. 192 cm. In cared-for condition, and with a fine patina. (PZ)
